Combining principles of traditional Chinese Medicine , modern evidence-based findings about acupuncture, and Western sports medicine and orthopedic practices, we offer a range of services to help you feel better and get back to doing what you love.
Acupuncture is a Chinese medical practice based on the belief that pain, dysfunction, and illness result from imbalances in the body. Treatments aim to regulate the body’s imbalances and treat underlying patterns to relieve symptoms and promote overall wellbeing. Acupuncture can treat everything from musculoskeletal pain and trauma to insomnia, stress and digestive problems. We recognize that everyone has unique health concerns and needs, and treatments are tailored to each individual.
We treat a wide range of injuries and other pain conditions by combining principles and practices of traditional Chinese Medicine with Western-based notions of sports medicine, including orthopedics, physiology, Trigger Points, motor points, and the role of the nervous system. Using knowledge gained from millennia of experience with acupuncture points and treatments for specific conditions, we also incorporate more modern knowledge of the human body to treat a variety of sports medicine and orthopedic conditions.
Foundation Training is a movement practice that teaches proper body mechanics and movement patterns. To counteract common physical adaptations to modern lifestyles (e.g. sitting for prolonged periods and looking at screens), Foundation Training helps realign the body and integrate muscle chains to promote healthy movement. Foundation Training can benefit everyone ranging from people suffering from chronic back pain to elite athletes looking to stay injury free and improve performance.
